Temperature field of composite steel and concrete slabs in fire situation

چکیده

Abstract Composite steel decking concrete slabs are an important structural member in building construction. Research on its thermal behavior should be developed to understand fire performance. In this paper, a comparison of the temperature distribution cross-section subjected is made through three different procedures: (a) standardized analytical, (b) experimental and (c) numerical. The analytical method was one proposed NBR 14323 standard. tests corresponding eight real-scale composite carried out by authors. numerical were done for same configurations used FEA software Abaqus. Steel temperatures obtained with methodologies showed good convergence ones. not observed concrete, positive negative rebar.

Punching shear strength of steel fibre reinforced concrete slabs

The ultimate strength of reinforced concrete slabs is frequently governed by the punching shear capacity, which may be increased with addition of traditional fitments such as reinforcing steel, headed studs or shear heads. In addition to these traditional methods of strengthening against punching, steel fibre reinforcement has proved to be an effective and viable alternative. The addition of fi...

Non-linear Analysis of Orthotropic Composite Slabs in Fire

In this study an orthotropic slab finite element is developed to model orthotropic slabs in fire, using a layered 9-noded iso-parametric slab element and a 3-noded beam element. The element is assembled from a solid slab element which represents the continuous upper portion of the profile, and a special beam element which represents the ribbed lower portion. An equivalent width for the cross-se...

Steel Concrete Composite Structures: State of Art

The aim of this review article is to examine solutions and challenges associated with composite construction. Structural steel and concrete, each of the two materials can be used to its best advantage and, therefore, composite structures have proved economical in terms of overall cost. Combination of steel and concrete systems has been conceived on the premises that each type of construction of...

Analysis and Design of Steel-Concrete Composite Frame Systems

The lack of clear guidance regarding the value of elastic flexural rigidity (EI) that should be used in the analysis of steel-concrete composite columns is a significant unresolved issue that hinders the design of frame systems that include these members. The common approach of utilizing the rigidity of either the steel or the concrete only tends to be overly conservative. Other approaches that...

Nonlinear Time-Dependent Behavior of Composite Steel-Concrete Beams

This paper presents a mixed finite element model for the nonlinear time-dependant analysis of composite beams with partial shear connection. The key idea is to consider, as a first approach, a viscoelastic/plastic model for the concrete slab in order to simulate the interaction between the time effects of concrete, such as creep and shrinkage, and the concrete cracking. Creep is taken into acco...
